I . We have published: A New Clinical Classification For The Correct Diagnosis of Back Pain. According to this classification, we diagnose the exact cause of back pain. Then, we offer the exact and precise guideline for the treatment.

2. The Rezaian Spinal Fixator. This device is approved by FDA, patented in USA and abroad. It is a new hope for intractable back pain due to serious fracture of the spine. Many patients, with incomplete paraplegia, wheelchair bounded, may be able to obtain their ability to walk again. It may be used for the treatment of intractable back pain of patients with so-called failed back surgery.

3. Dr. Rezaian is a pioneer in practicing the latest surgical techniques Including percutaneous discectomy, a simple technique for the removal of a herniated disc under local anesthesia using laser. This technique Involves one-day hospitalization (in and out the same day). It does not involve any actual incision or cutting wound. The patient will return home without pain. Many patients return to work, such as truck driver, carpenter, plumber or orthopedic surgeon in 2-6 weeks following surgery.

4. We have perfected a technique for fusion after disc surgery of the neck. According to this technique, the patient with herniated disc will be in the hospital for 1-2 days. Q: Does back pain always need surgery?

A: No. Most of the back pain gets better with 48 hours of rest, medication and sometimes modification of job duties.

Q: Could i return to work with pain?

A: Yes. If you are able to tolerate your pain.

Q: Could I do my usual exercise?

A: Yes, all light exercises. No heavy exercises, no lifting, no bending forward.

Q: If my pain is severe, what should I do?

A: In case of work injury first, inform your employer, then see the company doctor, or your family physician who will prescribe medication for relief of pain and advise for work, if required.

Q: Do I have to change my mattress? What type of bed do you recommend?

A: In general, firm mattress. It is recommended to sleep on a firm mattress or hard floor for a few weeks. No water beds.

Q: What about a brace?

A: A back support during acute phase may be helpful.
